I guess it's time to write another dumb story about how the album came about. I'll keep it short n' sweet.

Dessert Sessions started as a tribute/parody to the Desert Sessions. By this point the Dessert Sessions seems to be becoming its own beast. Things seem to be getting more soundtrack-y overall, and not just random rock jams.

Some of the trax for this album have been dug up from ancient sands, technically older than even when the Dessert Sessions officially began! A little old fashioned grit is mixed in with the increasing studio polish. So if you hear a bit of tape hiss or warpage, that's all part of the old salvaged source material and it's the only stuff extant of its kind (with the exception of the partially restored and revamped theme from 'Kala Aura Kala'). Essentially there's the newest of the new mixed in with the oldest of the old!

That's prolly simple enough. Except this time we took a bite of the Cult Conspiracy Cake and the ensuing knowledge had us chased all over the globe by secret societies bent on killing us. Nothin' too out of the ordinary. Just another day I guess. If you listen hard enough, you'll discover a bunch of secret knowledge too.
